Shipping Orders from jrox ecommece

I am looking for a good method of taking orders from jrox ecommerce and shipping orders? Looking to Pick Pack and Ship. I would prefer not to hand enter information. Would prefer to automate the process of shipping and providing tracking # back to store?

Any good solutions?

Hi Mike,

Are you referring to USPS and FedEx automation and tracking? JEM supports different shipping options such as FedEx, USPS, or UPS. You can check out http://jem.jrox.com/kb/article/5-setting-up-ups-shipping and http://jem.jrox.com/kb/category/44/managing-shipping-options to see your options.

Yes! I am talking about UPS and FedEx and USPS automation. I looked at the article on managing shipping options, however that looks to be how you setup shipping options for the customer or for the site.

I was referring more of once orders are received and I need to pick pack and ship orders.

Typically to pick I would need to grab a batch of orders and either produce a printed documents, and have some means of generating the shipping label say through UPS or Fed Ex.

Then once complete update the order status and update tracking and have a shipping confirmation email with tracking go back to customer.

I didn't see anything in managing shipping options that accommodates this.

I would like to avoid having to process one order at a time would prefer to say grab a batch of all orders that came in today and ship!

Is there anywhere where this is over viewed? How do other users of the ecommerce platform accomplish this?

Hello,

JEM currently does not have printing of shipping labels directly. It
would have to be custom coded.

I see, can you explain to me how a client would normally process shipping of a physical product using what does exist?

I would like to gain an understanding on what is there, then decide on what if any customization is needed?

Could you explain what the UPS and FedEx, USPS integration current does, does it just pull the rates into the ecommerce cart for check out purposes? Does it not create the shipment in the shipping online tools for ups. fed ex. USPS?

If I could just get a brief explanation of how I could ship my orders and update tracking via the current software? Is it currently all hand entry? are they any other 3rd party shipping packages that you work with. Is the printing of the invoice supposed to be the packing list for the order?

Who would be a good client reference that is using your product and shipping that could provide some feedback?

Hey Mike,

I've used endica in the past because I could quickly copy the whole address and drop it, unlike other software that requires you to do each field one by one. I know there are a few shipping companies that offer API's that could be integrated into websites like JEM with some coding that will do exactly what you want, but all those companies will most likely charge a monthly fee.

Thanks are you just copying right from the invoice, or do you print the invoice as your packing slip? then scrape the address to generate postage?

I have bigger items so need to use UPS or Fed Ex

In JEM2, I am unable to find any place to update the shipping credentials for the FEDEX, UPS, USPS api's. Supposed to be a PRODUCTS>MANAGE SHIPPING option, but that does not show up anywhere...

Is anyone else having this problem?
