Hey,

Thanks for the reply, I've followed the steps and it all seems to be set up correctly, yet I get a 404 error when visiting "mywebsite.com/USERNAME".

We're running JROX through WordPress, so I pasted the URL, the ID & the Key in the necessary setting fields of the plugin, set "Automatic User Registration" + "Automatic User Login" to "Enable". That's all I've got to do right? It's not necessary to add the PHP snippet (as Plugin takes care of that?)?

Also - after updating the way the link is displayed, will it update on the member dashboard (in the URL section) in the "Referral Links" section?

Thanks!

new to the form and to jrox, i came to this thread to figure out how to make better looking urls for affiliates since they look like: /affiliates/username, same as the poster above.

i would like to eliminate the affiliate's 'name' in the link as well as the word "affiliates'

is there anyway to do this? using custom url field?

i am tracking referrals to a form on wordpress

much thanks!

a few things you can do:

use remote domain links using the API automation option.

http://jam.jrox.com/kb/article/107/api-sample-code-for-setting-remote-domain-cookies.php

install JAM on a different folder name other than 'affiliates'.

JAM can be installed in any folder name, so if you install it in a folder called 'aff', the default links will be:

http://www.domain.com/aff/username

setup dynamic subdomains:

How would you set up the affiliate link on a different domain?

IE : mainsite.com is where Open Cart website is.

affiliates (JAM)is set up on seconddomain.com but needs to be redirected to mainsite.com in order to track.

Affiliates url will be seconddomain.com/affiliatename OR affiliatename.seconddomain.com

on seconddomain.com, install JAM on the root folder, and the default affiliate link will be:

seconddomain.com/affiliatename
